Iphediseng Women in Craft Entrepreneurship Project
The Iphediseng Craft Project enables disadvantaged women to use their design and sewing skills for the local and tourist market in order to become economically active and subsequently be able to improve their and their families' lives
Made in Sophiatown TM
This is the brand initiative of the Centre: hand crafted goods and art designed and produced by people based in Sophiatown. Launched in 2004 the goods include traditional African garments, beaded items, hand painted mugs, bags, t-shirts, and a range of other unique products only available through the Huddleston Centre shop and website.

Public art, crafts and music all combine to reflect the wider purposes of the Centre using creative processes to aid transformation in economic, social and educational spheres. Art workshops for children are offered on Saturdays and throughout the year during holiday programmes.
In addition to workshops, administration and marketing support, and exhibition space, this programme offers training to young artists in order to gain economic independence. "THE SPACE" hosts exhibitions and events to promote local artists. Commissions are undertaken for public and private collectors.

Our oral History project, captures the heritage of Sophiatown before the removals
The newly opened 'Sophiatown Heritage Experience' is available for public viewing Monday to Saturday between 9 - 12am and explores the history of the removals, as well as Sophiatown yesterday and today. Visits to the 'Experience' can be organised for groups or individuals.
